Welcome to the website operated by Chef Claudia Gonzalez ("Company," "we," "us," or "our").

These Terms and Conditions ("Terms") govern your access to and use of our in-home meal preparation, private chef, and culinary services (collectively, the "Services"). By booking or using our Services, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not proceed with booking.

1. Scope of Meal Prep Services

We provide in-home meal preparation, grocery shopping (when requested), private chef services, fridge stocking, and customized meals based on stated dietary preferences. Services may be provided directly by Chef Claudia Gonzalez or by trained independent contractor chefs.

Services are culinary in nature and do not constitute medical, nutritional, or dietary therapy.

2. No Medical or Nutritional Advice

We are not licensed medical providers or registered dietitians. Meal preparation is based solely on client preferences and information voluntarily provided by the client. Nothing provided through our Services is intended to diagnose, treat, cure, or prevent any disease. Clients are responsible for consulting appropriate healthcare professionals regarding medical or dietary needs.

3. Client Responsibilities

Clients agree to:

Fully disclose all food allergies, sensitivities, intolerances, religious restrictions, and dietary preferences prior to service
Communicate kitchen limitations, appliance issues, or household safety concerns
Provide a clean and functional kitchen environment suitable for food preparation

Failure to disclose relevant information releases the Company from liability.

4. Allergies and Food Safety Disclaimer

While reasonable food safety and sanitation standards are followed:

We cannot guarantee an allergen-free environment
We are not responsible for reactions caused by undisclosed or unknown allergies
Liability ends once food is prepared and stored according to client instructions
Proper storage, reheating, and consumption timelines are the client’s responsibility

5. Booking, Payment, and Pricing

Services must be booked in advance and are subject to availability
Payment is required in full prior to service unless otherwise agreed in writing
Grocery costs are billed separately unless explicitly included
Prepaid bundles secure dates and are non-transferable

Pricing may vary based on scope, location, and special requests.

6. Cancellation, Rescheduling, and Refunds

A minimum of 1 week notice is required for cancellation or rescheduling
Late cancellations or no-shows may result in forfeiture of the session without refund
Completed services and prepaid packages are non-refundable

Exceptions may be made at our discretion for emergencies.

7. Independent Contractors

Some Services may be performed by independent contractor chefs trained by Chef Claudia Gonzalez. Contractors are not employees, and the Company is not liable for actions outside agreed service standards.

8. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Chef Claudia Gonzalez shall not be liable for any injury, illness, loss, or damage arising from:

Consumption of prepared meals
Undisclosed allergies or sensitivities
Improper food storage or reheating
Client-provided ingredients or equipment

9. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Chef Claudia Gonzalez from any claims, damages, or expenses arising from your use of the Services or violation of these Terms.

10. Intellectual Property

All recipes, menus, and culinary materials remain the intellectual property of Chef Claudia Gonzalez and may not be reproduced or resold without written permission.

11. Governing Law

These Terms shall be governed by the laws of the State of California, without regard to conflict of law principles.

12. Modifications to Terms

We reserve the right to update these Terms at any time. Continued use of Services after changes constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
